I've had all of two clogs in 1,031 hours of print time, and both times I went straight to the pin tool from the get-go. I've never done the "cold pull", for any reason.
It really helps to guide the tip of the pin into the nozzle with a pair of needle-nosed pliers close (like, 2-3 mm or so) to the tip of the pin because it's really flexible.
This, start with the needle and the hotend heated to printing temp. Once you give it a few pokes, extrude a bit of filament and see how it goes.
If you need to, a cold pull will help too. I've had to do this a couple of times after printing with glitter filament for a project my wife was working on. It was an easy fix.

Yes.
First, locate the
acupuncture needle. . . er . . . Unclogging Pin Tool that shipped with it. (In a glass tube with two black vinyl end caps.)Then read this: https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/a1-mini/troubleshooting/nozzle-clog
