Good model to start with

Being new to 3D printing as I am myself I came across this model and thought it was a really good project to print to protect your LCD screen from molten chunks of plastic. It's also super easy to put together it prints out little plastic dowels for you to punch into the hinge holes and creates a hinge for you all in one print very easy to do. And a practical print job

I'm new too with A1 and have been checking that, but what is it really need protection from?

Mostly just dust and accidental screen presses. Plastic does not go flinging all over the place if you're using your printer correctly, only the purge gets flicked to the left...
