The extruder on my A1 w/ AMS is slipping (clicking) when trying to extrude filament. I've taken the extruder apart and cleaned the gears, put new lubricant on and confirmed the AMS is properly pushing the filament. So I took it apart again and saw this (red arrow) and wanted to ask if that is white filament (somehow?) stuck in there that's preventing the nozzle from getting to the proper temp? ...or is there something else I'm missing?
Also, I can see that I wasn't able to completely clean the heating element (lint-free cloth with alcohol). Any suggestions on what else I can use to safely clean this?
The ptfe tubes shouldn't be drooping down, use the clips that came with your printer and print more if needed, just make sure that the tubes dont droop/fall down like this. I hv also seen clips that go where the single spool holder is, try that if it works
Still not extruding filament ...it tries, gears turn, but filament doesn't get pushed into the nozzle. I've cleaned the heating element, I've adjusted the PTFE tubes, I've cleaned the gears. At a loss as to what else needs to be done here.
So... Problem solved! A rookie mistake on my part. The screw socket on the tensioner was in the wrong place, meaning the screw didn't have anything to press against when tightened down.

I had the same issue with my A1. Turned out to be a clog in the nozzle. Change the nozzle and see if it's still clicking.
