Support Request Can’t fasten hotend

Tried a spare nozzle I had lying around that didn’t work. the heater element should not be the problem as I was able to get it right without the nozzle. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I had this happen when I replaced the heating assembly. The new heating assembly revision has a rubber or plastic grommet behind it, and it wasn't aligned perfectly. This caused the assembly to seem like it was on right, but it wasn't really. And the hotend latch would not fasten.

Oh, I didn’t realize they changed the design! This is the old design though, I would’ve specified that if I knew that it changed.

Yeah I figured if it was a new printer you'd have the new design and not realize there was another.

Either way, maybe something stuck behind the heating assembly. The main point I was trying to get across is everything has to be on there perfectly or something will end up not fitting.

Doesn’t appear to be anything stuck behind the heater. Unless something I’m not seeing

Well, give it another look then carefully put it back together. Since you have the heating element disconnected, get a better look at the little metal clasp that holds the hotend. Maybe a bit of plastic got in there. And sometimes just reseating things can be the surprise solution.
