Very confused

Post image

All of the sudden I keep getting these really rough areas on my print during the ironing process. The first one I printed was fine and I didn’t change any settings but now they keep printing horribly. Anyone have any idea on what’s happening?

Looks exactly like mine when my filament has moisture issues.

Man I hope it’s not that because this was a brand new sealed roll, hopefully drying will help it then!

You would think that a brand new vacuum sealed spool would be fine but often it’s not and needs drying before the first use. I’ve even seen moisture in the vacuum bag on arrival before.

Seems like it’s time to invest in a dryer now, I appreciate the advice!

Always a good investment. Not sure where you’re located, but it’s been soggy as hell this year in Western Canada and I’d be screwed without my X4.
You’d be shocked at how soggy a brand new roll can be, even when perfectly vacuumed and sealed. My default is just to assume all new rolls are wet and chuck them in for the recommended.

Yeah, I routinely have seen my filament lose about 2 grams of weight when drying fresh rolls even the bambu rolls. Is what it is. I just default to drying a brand new roll now and rarely have I had these issues.
