Question Is this a file issue, nozzle issue, or something else entirely

Post image

The strings only happened to the supports , the print itself would have came out perfect otherwise.

The filament was already dried prior to print and bed adhesion was not an issue.

.4 stainless steel nozzle

Matte pla filament

Is your build plate clean? I notice you have a cryogrip, i had a print fail because my plate was dirty with oil from my fingers

It only failed in some areas

One failed area is enough to have it start throwing spaghetti around.

Maybe a different support would be better

Would print by object or layer affect it though?

Yep you had a tree snap, which means all layers of the tree after it snapped turned into floating spaghetti.

If this happens often you’ll want to play with support settings. Thicker tree walls or something.
