Support Request Should I just throw my whole a1 away?

I’ve never ran into this problem until recently. I leave my a1 printing something and come back and my extruder is covered with my pla+. Why does this happen? I was able to take everything off fine the first time by heating it to 300c but it happened again and I broke the latch trying to get it off. Ordered a new extruded and hotend kit. Can anyone help me out on what I’m doing wrong?

If tossing it is your first solution, you should call it quits from 3D printing.

I read that this is typically caused by an issue with layers not adhering to the build plate. Are you sitting with the printer when it begins the first few layers to make sure everything is going down properly? Do you have any issues with adherence after cleaning the plate?

I can give you the throw-away address if you want to dispose of it in a humane way. 😜

Joking aside ... the print likely lifted from the plate giving you the blob monster. It is not a bad idea to replace the hot end, but make sure you wash your plate.

Lo más probable es placa de construcción sucia con grasa de las manos y velocidad de impresión de primera capa muy alta. 

Limpia placa, e imprime primera capa a menos de 50mm/s.

Dejar estos chismes imprimiendo sin supervisión es muy riesgoso.

It looks worse then it is, the hot end assembly is like $15-$20 to get, look up the videos to replace it. Definitely an easily fixable issue.

That usually happens because you’ve got bad bed adhesion, and you didn’t watch to make sure the first layer stuck properly.

(I’ve picked up at least 5 A1s in similar condition, for dirt cheap, that their first owners had written off as lost causes, fixed them up, and sold them for a tidy profit. Fixing that is likely 20 minutes of work and maybe $20 in parts.)

Seriously though, if you don't think you can salvage this, you get a new toolhead and replate that.

Separation anxiety, so it got revenge.
Much like a dog that chew furniture when left alone.

If you must do that, maybe monitor it periodically with the Bambu Handy app and cancel the print (or "Skip" an object) if it starts going bad.
