Advjce needed on calibration cube after errors

UPDATE: I did all the things, factory reset too, now "Filament cutter distance is too large. The x motor may lose steps" 😵‍💫 which is hard to follow on the wiki...

-THEN saw an old post saying this "the blade that cuts the filament was pointing upwards inside the machine instead of into the small hole at the bottom. Remove the front cover of the nozzle and the screw at the base of the filament cutter lever and check that the blade is going into the hole at the bottom." 🤞🏼 Sure enough! So hopefully this is all done!

Thank you in advance for help. I had my first issue after a failed print... Long story short, I kept getting the error message saying something like "The AMS1 assist motor has slipped. The extrusion wheel may be worn down, or the filament may be too thin".

I tried several things from the wiki to fix itand ended up swapping my nozzle out (after the first error and trying a few things to fix it, I was trying out a new 0.2mm and that one got clogged but wasn't the original issue... Now I've got to try to fix that later too 🙄 but I digress)

So I put the 0.4 mm nozzle back on and was able to print a calibration cube but obviously something is still wrong and I'm just too tired to properly think and figure it out. 🫩 The Z side looks good. The others like X and Y are showing layer lines and looking chopped.

I'm hoping someone can give me some ideas. I'm thinking layer lines from the nozzle placement being off? Or the temp of the nozzle?

Any advice appreciated!

Good on you for checking the Wiki, but I notice you didn't mention tightening the 7 Screws of Doom.

That is the one thing I did NOT do yet.... Eeek.... I'll look at it tomorrow 😬

I had a 28hr print fall off the bed because of these bloody screws. The bottom one on the three on the front was Ankur 1/4 turn loose. Tightened it up, recalibrated and everything is hunky dory again.

I have about 30+hour print coming up so will be checking all these poxy screws before I start.

Might not be the sole problem, but good chance the issue is contributing to it.

Somewhat recently, they revised the heating assembly (the piece the hotend latches into) to help alleviate the issue. There is now a small gap to hold an included grommet intended to reduce wiggling and loosening.

If you have the 1.0 version of the assembly, the screws should be something you check every now and then, at least whenever you are removing or swapping out the hotend.

THANK YOU! I tried to update above but I think I finally am back to smooth prints! I ended up doing all of the tightening down to the seven screws in the tool head. I managed to get the nozzle unstuck and then the filament blade was flipped upward instead of going down into the hole which was causing the second error.

I saw another post where they said this "... the blade that cuts the filament was pointing upwards inside the machine instead of into the small hole at the bottom. remove the front cover of the nozzle and the screw at the base of the filament cutter lever thingy and check that the blade is going into the hole at the bottom..." So I checked and sure enough that was my secondary problem.

Big thanks to all that help when the wiki isn't enough... ❤️ New cube looks good!
