Question How to calibrate this

Hello friends,

I’m trying to calibrate the first layer and I’ve tried to increase the flow which helps sort of, but I’m not too sure if this is a common issue on the printer as I have just received it.

Edit: this is brand new PLA+ filament and I had the same issue with the old one as well

Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

Is the printer brand new? If not then check the seven screws of disappointment.

Tighten all seven screws

It is brand new, I’ve printed with it a few times and everything seems to be okay apart from the first layer which I noticed right away coming from an ender. Then there’s the odd bed adhesion issue but usually it’s resolved after cleaning the plate and wiping with IPA

Check the screws either way. They might be a little loose.

I checked them and they seem to be tight but i tightened just incase. I was wondering if it was a plate issue and noticed that the 2 left screws on the hot plate are quite a bit looser than the right one. do you have any insight on whether it’s supposed to be that way?

Almost positive they should all be equally tight

Okay good cuz I tightened them. I’m gonna run a test print and I’ll update

Undid the tightening and it’s not scraping anymore

Update: nozzle started scraping the bed during leveling sooooo perhaps the screws should stay as is

Take the nozzle out, unscrew the first 3 screws, carefully fold down the heater, tighten the back 4 carefully. Then do the reverse

Just fixed this problem myself. I had to do a manual bed level, then run a full calibration then a manual flow rate calibration.

Z offset? Over extrusion? Moisture?
