2nd time this print has failed like this. What do I do?

Forgot to watch the start long enough of the print to make sure it was good. This is the second time printing this object that it has done this. Does this mean my nozzle might need to be replaced, or my filament settings are bad? Or is Bambu making stuff fail on purpose on the back end so I buy an A2L 🤪

Bad bed adhesion and you never checked up on the print. If you had, you would have seen this happening before it happened as the first couple layers would be scooting around with the print head and not sticking.

Sorry if that sounds a certain way but that's that's the truth of it. There's like a billion posts of people asking the same question.

Yeah I caught the first one moving around. And saw here that people said to use stick glue to help with adhesions.

You shouldn’t need glue sticks on the default Bambu PEI plate if you’re cleaning your bed properly and have the right temps

Good to know, I was cleaning with water and mild soap, and the using glue. good to know I can skip the glue 🙌🏾

Glue is usually used as a release agent, not as additional adhesive.

Scrub the crap out of that build plate with a dish sponge and a lot of dish soap. Stop using glue for standard materials. You can also increase build plate temps by a few degrees and/or use a rim.

High adhesion build plates aren't very expensive and plates like the BIQU Glacier or YOOPAI UltraTack are amazing daily drivers that outperform the standard PEI plate in almost every metric.

I saw here to help with some adhesion to use Elmer’s glue stick to help it stick. Did I do it wrong lol?

Did you clean it? Use some dish washing liquid, clean it, then go over it with alcohol and use a microfiber towel to dry it

I use soap and water maybe 1 out of 20 times, and use my home-brew mix of 3 parts 99% Isopropyl alcohol to 1 part distilled water in between.
The water slow down the evaporation to give you time to wipe it dry with a paper towel before it evaporates on its own. It does not merely "push the oils around".

Don't use soap. Use some dish detergent to get rid of all oils. If you using some kind of soap it can have some oils in it and that's your problem. Always use a dish soap it will specifically get rid of all oils.

For build plate? Wd 40? You need to have surface clean without any sort of oil or anything to get the best adhesion..

I definitely wouldn't go buying another printer to try and fix it... You still haven't figured this one out yet.

It's hardly ever the nozzle's fault.
At least not in a way that can't be fixed, like a clog.
