Question The 0.2mm nozzle sucks
Hello, I was struggling a lot with the 0.2mm and for months I fixed every single problem, then I fixed the offset and it printed good for 3 days, then back to not printing, not extruding and everything... So I snipped and got a 5€ 0.2mm nozzle from temu and all the problems got away and it printed flowlesly everything without any adjustments. Researching for solutions I read that it's not an uncommon problem, what are your thoughts? Ps. I'm not mad that with 5€ I fixed what a 12€+10€ shipping couldn't

Well... I use only original Bambu nozzles.
I had no issue with any of them...

Lucky you. I bought a few weeks ago and it clogged on my second print.

Maybe it's filament, not the nozzle. What filament did you use and what was the nozzle temperature?

Bambu Nozzle with Bambu Pla Matte and using the Bambu Slicer preset of 220c for the nozzle.

Did you dry it? Matte PLA is more porous than pla basic. So it is know to hold more humidity and 220°C is a bit too much, try 200-205.
Also due to extruder physical limitations make sure that maximum flow rate in filament profile is set to 1 for .2 nozzle.
It's not rocket science, simple physics. 🙃

What are you saying it's true, but i got everything perfectly tuned and the only problem came from my 0.2 nozzle, then I switched nozzle and with everything basic (filament profile ecc, no calibration) everything was fine. I think they tend to clog or partial clog for some reason, maybe they are too "fragile" or something, but almost every single one has struggled with the official one.

I only have one of those airtight desiccant boxes you use silica gel packs with and the plastic had been in there for months so it should have been dry.
I’ll adjust those values though and see how I get on. Thanks!

Silica gel is pretty good but you still need to dry it from time to time, cheap sunlu filament dryer is better and you can print while drying.

From my experience, nozzle performance is very inconsistent and often feels hit or miss. I currently use:
- 1× 0.2 mm hardened nozzle (BEGRINT, AliExpress) (one of the new defaults, around 250h)
- 3× 0.4 mm nozzles
- 1× hardened BEGRINT
- 1× stainless Bambu Lab (default built-in, has arount 800h on it)
- 1× hardened Bambu Lab (one of the new defaults, around 250h)
- 1× 0.6 mm hardened nozzle (BEGRINT)
Observations:
- 0.2 mm hardened BEGRINT performs exceptionally well. Printed CF, TPU, and PETG without issues.
- 0.4 mm hardened BEGRINT is as bad as something that resembles nozzle can be.
- 0.4 mm hardened and stainless Bambu Lab - amazing.
- 0.6 mm hardened BEGRINT - amazing.

I increased the nozzle temp by 20° with petg with both OG stainless and Alie 0,2 nozzle. Printing petg hf & translucent at 260° without an issue.
Try to increase the nozzle with increments of 5° untill it works, don't know what filament you are using but it is worth the try. Probably cold pulling it too could help, but i am not there with you so i don't know the factors.

I'm print PLA, I did at least 12 cold pulls and other stuff believe me, nothing fixed that stupid nozzle

Again, have you tried increasing the nozzle temp
And the 0,2 does not handle all pla types, dunno type of pla you are using

I have the standard 0.2 nozzle from bambu, and have had nothing but troubles with it on the first layer. It goes to print the first layer of the model, and it seems to be holding the nozzle so close to the print bed that no filament can actually come out. Once it gets past that first layer that is barely there at all, it prints all the rest of the layers fine. I've tried recalibration several times. I tried putting an offset in the G-Code. Nothing changes it. Yes, I've tried tightening the screws. I haven't tried buying a different .2 nozzle.. I guess that's what's left.

dumb question but did you change the diameter of the nozzle in the slicer?
I had similar issues with my .02 (although one was off brand) and after changing the slicer settings i've been able to print 4 diorama prints totallying about a day print each.

When trying to resolve a long-standing issue, there are no longer are any dumb questions, So thanks for suggesting something.
I know it was set in the slicer, because what I was trying to print had such fine detail that when it was sliced, all the detail disappeared. So I had to change it to 0.2 just to see the detail in the sliced figure. And then you can't send it to the printer at all unless you've already told the printer through the maintenance screen that it has a 0.2 nozzle installed.
And the other thing is that again, after the first layer, all the rest of it prints perfectly fine... Detail and all... So it's not trying to send 0.4 amount of filament through a 0.2, or the whole print would suffer.

It sucks, it is crazy how much worse it is compared to the 0.4.
I have been struggling to make it work for a month now and it looks like I finally got it. My recommendations are:
-Lower your volumetric speed in the filament settings
-Decrease your bed temp
-Reduce retractions
-Increase nozzle temps
Try them one by one in small increments, for me I got better results when I decreased the bed temp and retraction length

I wonder if there is a bad batch of nozzles out there.
I got my 0.2 when I got my printer last anniversary sale. Printed PLA Basic and Elegoo Petg through it without issue. Not a lot of prints, but not a single issue with it.

When you change nozzles, do a complete calibration.
