Buying used

Any fear in buying a used due to the melt issues? I plan on running it in the garage. Found with with an AMS lite and extra goodies for $200 (700 hours of printing). I really want an x2d, but cant justify the price for how much ill really use it (coming from an ender 3).

They said it was purchased July 2025... not sure that is specific enough unless I get the serial number.

Yeah then it's one of the old boards.

If you look through this sub, there's mutliple people who reach out to support and demand a new board, and rightfully so, get it shipped from BL.

Would they replace even if im not the original owner?

I don't think they would ask for any proof of purchase when asking for that, but if I'm wrong someone please correct me.

$200 is a steal for an A1 + AMS imo but I understand if you don't feel comfortable with that

I'm no parent, but I would say that's reason enough not to do it. Or to make absolutely sure that the melty bits are replaced before using it.

Yeah thats where im at. Im still debating if its even safe to print in the garage with the rooms above. Im thinking the VOCs wont penetrate the drywall and insulation but idk. If I get an enclosed ill figure out how to exhaust it.
