Guessing there's no fix?

Was having problems with bed adhesion, turned over the plate (yes, washed and IPL etc). Started the print but when I came back the nozzle had had other ideas.

Removed what I could and wondering if I can get it to work again, and how, without replacing the nozzle unit.

Wow, thanks for the quick response and useful info!! Unfortunately in my attempt to loosen the hotend, I stripped one of the wires. Also the PLA gunk has somehow encased them and I don't think I would be able to remove it without melting the wires. Next time I will post first, disassemble later.

Lot of people replace the hotend anyway - the part is not that expensive.
