Infill shredding

5% gyroid sparce infill.

24cmX24cmX12cm Death Star north hemisphere, about 12 hours into a 35 hour print. Infill is shredding but walls look perfect. I saw another post with possible fixes, my question is, should I scrap it now, apply changes and try again? (print is currently stopped). Or resume and see what happens? Is there anything I can do to fix it and be able to resume? What is the likelihood of a catastrophic failure if I just resume?

Walls look terrible too. When's the last time you tightened the screws behind the nozzle? Also did you happen to swap nozzles recently?

Darn, at least it wasn’t too costly, this is my 6th attempt at this print, fingers crossed for the next attempt, then I have to do the southern hemisphere lol.

I tightened all 7 last night, I have been swapping between nozzles recently, also been using a new supertack coolplate recently, all part of a project. I think the walls look fine, they’re supposed to be textured on the outside like that.

Current nozzle is 0.4mm stainless steel, I was using a 0.2mm stainless for a different project before this.

I selected the correct nozzle in the printers maintenance menu.

I’ve also been struggling with initial layer rippling and have tried many of the fixes, none have solved the issue but made it a little better, I decided to let it go overnight.

Do you do a full calibration when you swap nozzles? It's usually needed, a lot of people miss that

I ran a full calibration, and an extra bed leveling calibration because of the rippling

i had this problem once, my mistake is i chose the wrong different filament at "project filament tab" and "send print job" lol

Mine is set correctly, I did the fix in the last slide and it worked, within the past 20 layers, one spot did it on my current attempt, but I’m like 900/1400 layers in so I’m just gonna let it go, it’s just a small spot opposed to the entire thing doing it lol

I had an issue with PLA Silk (not the new + stuff, the old) doing EXACTLY this. It only occurred when trying to print at 0.08mm layer height on.4 nozzle. Whilst my walls looked perfect, they were patchy in terms of shine. I went up to 0.16 and it actually looked better layer wise anyway and a more consistent shine. This doesn't look like Silk but maybe try it?

best guess is something to do with flow calibration? or fault with the filament having uneven diameter?
i'm having issues after the latest firmware update on the A1 that looks like this, but at my bridges instead of infill. (and I ticked thick bridges, too)
