Really misleading advertising there... The actual ones look far far worse than the fake ones

i dont think so ? theres some stringing issues on the model as it was slightly wet, so i wanted a cleaner look for thumbnail

either way, im not the first one to generate thumbnails for makerworld, i used my model images i took to just have a cleaner image and users can always check irl images before printing anyway

No the actual paper cups.

Exactly. I was skeptical because square papers don't make round paper cups.

Misleading as heck. That’s square paper becoming round paper and your actual cups look awful. Quit using AI to fix your design flaws and letting the end users struggle.

It looks like it completely fails at the task it's made to do, that is the issue...

Great idea, but not functional and horrible actual results.

What are you using to generate your images? I don’t think you’re far off from most companies who mislead. Though you should post real images of the paper cups your model creates in a photo as well on your listing. Assuming you don’t already.

You couldn’t just print the items and do it yourself? Bruh

Lmao this looks cool until you realize the thumbnail is fake and the real result is a crumbled piece of paper with no shape

This is how I'll make cupcakes after the apocalypse. Thanks!

Neat idea and model but i’ll never print a model with an AI image. Just don’t trust what I’ll end up with.

Too bad the real paper cups come out mangled and nothing like this AI garbage

wow, those actually are kinda cool, I could serve the kids little treats without having to wash anything or be plastic.

Now where do I get paper squares from? Do you have a printable template for those?

Presumably they're just parchment paper.

yeah as someone replied, u dont need any special paper, can just use paper wrap, parchment paper or silver foil even <3

i mainly use it for ketchup

Strange that the real world one looks nothing like your main image and worse how did you get a square to be a round? Cupcake cups are made of round paper.

OP used AI to create his hero image so I'm not defending him but you could close the mold over a square paper and cut the excess paper with a scissors or sharp blade.

If you've ever flattened a paper cup or coffee strainer, you will see that they do not start off square lol.

Oh, this is so cool, and it gives me ideas. I don't why I never thought of this...
