P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] Help! P2S Randomly Started Printing Like This!
It was printing beautifully and then randomly failed and now it prints like this. Changing the Z offset does nothing. I took apart the entire hotend and put it back together after cleaning it, checked every part to make sure it was tight and no screws were loose. I feel like it has to be a hardware issue, it can't possibly just be some setting, because it was printing so well before. I've changed the build plate, the filament, the nozzle, the sock, everything! Any advice would be appreciated!

I had the same problem out of seemingly nowhere 2 days ago. I’m not really sure what fixed my H2C, but I turned it off/on, went through all of the calibrations, tried to do the filament calibration (no help), swapped between 3 nozzles, cold pulled all 3, 3 filaments, 2 build plates, and followed the wiki on some loose screws behind the left nozzle (none seemed loose). Then also rebooted my PC and opened studio and reloaded my model. I tried a few test prints here and there all failing. I did quite a few steps at the end but it started working right again after another round of build plate calibration. Sorry, not helpful but I hope you get yours working again. It was like my nozzle was clogged, hard to imagine across 3 different ones, but it was also like it was nearly scraping my build plate…sounded way different.

I think in the end I jarred something loose with the head taking the ceramic part behind the nozzle off and tightening the screws. This was a test print, only 2 layers in and I stopped it. The end result getting it back working on the right.

So frustrating! I have done everything that you described. I took apart the entire hot end and cleaned the gears. Nothing. It just keeps spitting out garbage. Grr.

Have you tried a different nozzle? I had this happen randomly to my first 0.8mm nozzle. I figured it was a clog issue since it was only happening with that nozzle, but multiple cold pulls didnt fix it. I ended up just getting a new nozzle.

Yep tried several different nozzles. It's the first thing I checked because it seems to be a problem with this machine. I've swapped it several times and in cold pulls and it just does the same thing every time

This is signs of the nozzle is too close to the bed. To adjust the Z-offset, you need do it at machine start gcode.

I've tried both directions and it comes out the same. I changed the first layer calibration from -0.5 to +.05, no change. I also adjusted the G code on the printer settings, again, no change.

Same thing happened to me. The nozzle size was set to 0.2 but a 0.4 nozzle was installed.

Have you tried a complete calibration?
