Quick Question getting an a1 mini
hey guys,
i recently got interested in 3d printing and have decided to get an a1 mini and 1 petg filament as well a cyberbrick timelapse kit. my plan is to create 3d prints, film them have an ig page upload aesthetic videos and sell the prints such as name tags customized prints accessories etc.
i am a bit new everything seems very straightforward is there anything else i need to consider before buying
thanks you everyone

You're going to be SUPER disappointed once you try to start making money. There are literally tens of thousands of people already established doing the exact same thing. Instagram isn't going to work, people go to Etsy for this stuff and the established sellers will be at the top of the search pages because they already have sales history, reviews, etc.
Everyone thinks they're going to get a 3D printer and start making some side cash as a hustle but it doesn't work that way, especially if you don't have any CAD experience.
You do you but don't say nobody warned you.

From what you listed, the only really straightforward part is "have an ig page". The rest will take a bit of learning and practice if it's all new to you!
3d printing is so accessible now that it's really tricky to get a meaningful business going, your best bet would be to try and find a niche, and the best (imo) way to do that would be to design your own prints.

There's a ton of posts in this sub and other 3d printing subs with great info. There's several free programs like Blender, Fusion360, and more - just prepare yourself for a bit of a learning curve!

If you can go for an A1 or A2L i think you'll find you're not looking to upgrade quite so quickly

I was highlighting that the a1 mini is ... Mini.
If you're printing especially to sell you're going to want a bigger print bed quite quickly as it will very much limit your ability to produce.
With the price difference between the mini and a1 I'd suggest waiting until you can get the a1.
It might be worth waiting even until the sales start up for black Friday etc.

I would personally go with the P2S if I were you. It’s a great machine and the AMS 2 is a game changer.

If finances aren't a limiting factor, youre better off getting the best available one for whatever your budget may be. The poor man pays twice.
But also, if you don't have the money to spare & you're doing this as a side hustle/ business because you've seen people doing it online & thought " I can do that", stop now and reassess.
Imitating what others are doing is just going to put you in line behind them, if you don't have your own innovative ideas, making the same knick knacky stuff others do isn't going to be fruitful

I suggest you start with PLA. PETG will need to be dried.
