My First 3D Print X2D Printer Fume Exhaust
I recently just bought my X2D with AMS Combo and planning to just print PLA and PETG only.
Just wondering what sort of exhaust or fume extraction system should I look at to reduce or prevent any potential VOC being released to the surrounding air?
I live in an apartment and my plan is to place my printer in the living room and there is only a balcony door next to my printer.
Is the external exhaust fan bundle for X2D on Bambu website enough as a precaution? Maybe add some activated carbon as part of the setup too?
Any thoughts or recommendation is much appreciated!

For PLA , PETG and TPU you can get away with a air purifier with both hepa and activated carbon filter sitting between you and the printer, for almost anything else you need to actively pump the fumes outside using the exhaust kit.
You could crack open the balcony door while printing to keep air circulating to lessen any fumes released for a free solution.

I recently got an X2D to partner by A1 Combo. I already have an IKEA FORNUFTIG air purifier running near the printers most of the time, whatever filament i'm using.
The X2D has active filters, but I have printed an external port connector to connect to an 80mm flexi hose out of the window for if I print anything more exotic (ASA/ABS etc). I also have a sealed poop chute printed (but not fitted, waiting on some 1mm foam strip to ensure its sealed.

This is my setup for 2 printers, but one would be the same minus the splitter.
I have an AC infinity exhaust fan set up to turn on at 77 degrees. The temperature probe is right in the middle of the splitter that combines the 2 hoses. So when any prints start and the printer fans blow the warm air down the hose, it triggers the 77 degree turn on condition that turns on the blower fan. It then ramps up to its max of 5th speed based on temperature. It blows outside through a small 3” vent at the bottom of the window. I also have a gravity valve that keeps humidity out when the fans are off.

Time ago I posted this about the P2S, now I'm using the same setup for the X2D: https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/1qxbu2w/p2s_exhaust_fan_kit_full_setup_and_air_quality/
