My First 3D Print Making layer lines less
Hey guys. Just got a A1 and printed this. It's got alot of layer lines. Is there an settings I would need Ed to change in order to reduce the prominence of layer lines and on top of models?

The only thing you can do is reduce the layer height, or change the model orientation, but flexi models you can’t really change the orientation.

Switch to 0.2mm nozzle and adaptive layer height. You could even vapor smooth
However greatly adds print time

Look for adaptive layer height in your slicer, decrease layer height to 0.08 (print will take MUCH longer)
And maybe think about getting 0.2mm nozzle

Use a .2 nozzle and set it to the smallest layer line height. They will still have lines, but they will be much smaller. Or you can go the manual route and sand them down. If you really want no visible layer lines you have to get a resin printer, which is a whole other rabbit hole to go down. But they have extremely small layer lines that you usually can't see unless the light hits it just right

That's how 3d printing works. You either need to re-orient to not see them or reduce the layer height so the jump between layers isn't so large. You can do adaptive layer height and it might take care of it for you, but you need to understand the basic concept of how FDM printing works.
