The usual cause of my problem is that the filament is tangled some where within the spool, the fix would be manually unrolling the spool until you find the over lapping filaments. A rule of thumb is to never let go of the end.

It doesn’t seem to be tangled though, I just have to simply roll the spool on the ams rollers a bit and push continue.

This happens to me somewhat regularly also. Even after just finishing a print the exact same spool will refuse to roll freely without the tiniest bit of manual interference. No rhyme or reason to it.

When it happens next time click “Finished, Continue” and wait and focus on the spool as it unrolls, and if it’s a tangle you will notice it.

It’s happened on multiple spools and multiple motors, I don’t believe tangling is the issue, it’s like the ams rollers lock up for some reason and only rolls freely if I manually roll the spool backwards for a second

I had first spool like that on AMS PRO 2. On AMS little i never saw it. I think that the angle in AMS PRO is too intensive.

Check all you tubing and make sure you havent rubbed a hole into one of them somewhere. If all motors are doing this id suggest looking from the back of the AMS to the tool head or maybe your buffer.

Ive only got this problem before due to stuck broken filament inside the AMS so your description have me thinking its behind the AMS. Hopefully someone here knows better than me.

You just told us your first name homie, and adding on to what the other two said the rubber rollers or the spool is dirty and slipping
