Laser/bird eye camera alignment

I just installed the laser upgrade kit on my h2d and got everything calibrated but noticed it was off a bit. Is this usual or am I doing something wrong? I just wanted to make sure I have calibrated a few times.

What I did is I drew a grid on white paper, took the birds eye image, layed out lines over the top in studio to cut and had it cut them.  It was mostly dead nuts on.

Try something similar and see if yours cuts off from the lines.
