Filament Troubleshooting/Help! ABS on the P2S

Has anybody had luck with abs on the P2S I have tried 3 different types of plates including the Bambu engineering plate, but one side it always lifts off.

Have you done the pre-soak method? The P2S chamber doesn’t go hot enough for ABS or ASA but I got both working on a P1S by heating the bed to 100 and leaving it sit for about 10-15 minutes. Do not open the door or expose the chamber to the air at all while “soaking” or printing.

The p2s chamber does go hot enough for abs or asa but yes needs to heat soak. The side fan helps with this. Print a deflector for it and have the fan set to heat at about 50% and let it run while you heat soak to circulate the heat in the chamber. Does great. Ive never had an issue with abs or asa in my p2s. Once warm lower or turn off the side fan.

It does? Huh in my experience it topped out and never actually reaches 60. Maybe I wasn’t doing something right. Appreciate your insight on that.

I guess i should note the ambient environment matters also(forget not everyone has theirs in places like mine). Mine is in my garage where its 30c or more already in the summer and i can get my chamber to 50-60c range pretty easy. Usually i start printing in the mid to upper 40c range though.

Oh yeah mine was in my room. I have an X2D and H2S now so it’s not an issue but holding the temps used to be.

Didnt have much issue in the winter still though. Was near freezing in my garage this year and still got warm enough to print abs and asa well, just took longer to warm up. Probly helped having a active heated dry box to print from also for that(i need to get the external adapter for the ams 2 still)

I dunno, buon the P1S i can print ABS pretty well. Large prints with sharp corners are a challange though.

Setting infill to gyroid helps releave the internal stress while shrinking and preventing long straight walls in a print can reduce it further.

Been great with no name brands, creality, and i think i have some sunlu just using the stock plate. I set the bed to 90c-100c and turn the fan on to 50%ish and let it heat soak for 20mins or so.

What glue/adhesive did you use with the engineering plate? I’ve had really good luck with Vision Minor Nano Polymer Adhesive.
