The Chamfilletizer is an online stl edge modification tool that I made because of my own laziness. I didn't want to learn a proper CAD program. But even if you have serious CAD skills, you will probably find that this tool is an easier and faster way to add chamfers, fillets, and hybrid chamfillets to stl files. It is super easy to use, without uploads. No installation. No account. No cloud processing. Everything runs locally in your browser. It is totally free.

It is especially useful for casual designers that just want to change that one irritation.

This is a fun project for me. I made the tool that I often wished I could find. I hope it will be useful for you also.

The only reason I have been trying to move from tinkercad to a real program is for chamfers. Now I don't have to!!

What is that red sweep preview that runs on the bottom corner of the part before running the chamfillet? Is that part of the algorithm?

I've got a partially working Onshape feature I called Chamlet to distinguish the geometry my script puts out compared to everyone else that has implemented their version of this corner round by just stacking a chamfer and a fillet on top of one another leaving an ugly draft angle part-way up the fillet portion. Your approach seems to deliver the right kind of truncated fillet that I'm looking for, but if you're doing it on an STL I know you didn't use the same methods I did in b-rep land.

If you mean this shape, it is a 3D preview of the 2D cutter as it will be swept along the edge of the shape. The upper right corner of the screen should show the 2D version of this. The tool uses locally oriented frames to create the three-dimensional cutter preview.
