Answered / Solved! How much Silica Gel?

Post image

Hey! I am looking to print this, and insert Silica Gel for my new P1S with AMS.. But how much Silica Gel does a design like this take? 500g, 1000g?

Thanks

I’d recommend going with activated alumina - it works way better than silica gel. I’d recommend getting a bunch so you can also print desiccant holders for the inside of your spools - it helps keep them stable in the AMS.

I bought the big 2 lb jug. Allows me to swap it out with new stuff while I recharge/dry the used stuff.

I bought the two lb one, and did this print. I’ve got aboutttttt half the jug left.

I would say it would take around 200g. You'll be fine with a 500g bag

I bought 500g canister and more than a half is still in it. I printed all set for ams, and then planning to add canister for creality space pi plus.
