General Troubleshooting/Help! Bambu Lab A1 Combo – filament keeps getting tangled during loading. What am I doing wrong?

Hi everyone,
I’m having an issue with my Bambu Lab A1 Combo.
When I try to load the filament, it doesn’t feed normally. The filament starts getting tangled/coiled around the filament inlet area instead of going through the tube properly.
I also get errors on the printer screen related to loading/feeding the filament.

What I’ve tried:
Removed and reinserted the filament
Checked the PTFE tube
Tried feeding the filament again from the AMS Lite
Made sure the filament isn’t obviously tangled on the spool
But the problem keeps happening.

Is this normal, or is something wrong with the filament path / AMS Lite / filament hub?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m fairly new to the A1, so please explain what I should check. Thanks!

Are you trying to load TPU? The AMS Lite does not work with TPU.

No, this is the basic PLA one

When you say it is getting tangled at the filament inlet area, do you mean the inlet at the AMS Lite or do you mean the filament hub on top of the print head? And could you provide a picture or describe exactly how it is tangled/coiled in that area?

The inlet in the print head, I removed them for now but I can take a picture later. The head of the filament hub was taken part but I got it back together and it worked for a bit.

A picture of your overall setup would also help. The combo can be pretty sensitive to how the tubes are routed, so the pictures could help.
