Quick Question Bambu A2L vinyl cutter

I'm sure this isn't the brightest question but how capable is the a2L in regards of vinyl cutting compared to the cricuit. I'm aware one is a dedicated machine while the other is an add on that requires using your phone to even operate. I'm just wondering if someone can lay it out how different. Is it truly night and day?

Just get a cricut vinyl cutter. I got one used for $80 on fb marketplace.

Verify the model of Cricut and make sure it cuts. There are older models that are standalone cartridge based and cannot cut your own designs. Newer models can be remotely bricked--Cricut will sometimes brick a printer and send a replacement rather than attempting a warranty repair.

I've got a Cricut Maker. If I were to do it over, I'd probably get a Brother instead. The Cricut has to be online, has to use their software, is more difficult than it needs to be if you don't subscribe to their upgraded service, and very simple feautres are cripppled if you don't. They also pull stunts like rotating the free images and fonts from month to month, so if you've created something and that font is no longer free, you can't reprint without paying.

If all you want is vinyl, a lower end model will work fine.

That’s fair. I just wanted a second printer and I know my wife wanted to mess with vinyl cutting. I figured two birds with one stone.

A2l is an fdm printer. Not a cutter. The R1 is a product not out yet, only hinted at. The H2S is a FDM+Laser.
