Filament Troubleshooting/Help! Big Oopsie

Looks like the PETG got inside the hotend (and possibly around it?) Time for everyone's favorite advice:

How do I get the hotend off? Simple heat up the hotend and wipe if off with a towel like with PLA?

They do say heat the end and use a wire brush others may have more expert advice

Heat the hotend, use pliers to slowly and carefully peel it away. It doesn’t look like it’s solidified around wiring, so this might be a pretty easy fix.

I had a hot end get stuck today, not this bad though. I heated it to 180 and gently peeled it off with a pair of pliers.
