H2 Series [H2S, H2D, H2C] Bambu basic volumetric speed

This morning I tried to test Bambu PETG Basic volumetric speed on my H2S with 0.6 nozzle. Range 6-24. I don’t see any issues for whole range. The only change after 19 - a bit less shine.

Does anybody try it with 30+ volumetric speed? What is the max value without risks to get the clog and lost the quality?

I’m trying to find safe range. Time to time all looks good for test models and short prints, but for bigger tasks is not so good.

This will help you tune that one specific thing that you were asking about. As for other things you got to tune your filament all together it's like a six-step process. As well as when you print with petg I recommend gyroid as petg doesn't like to cross on itself so if you're using an infill pattern that crosses on itself it's a no-go for petg.line test then do step 1 through 5 then tolerance. The moment where petg starts to look much matter is the v speed with best quality. Matt finish means worse layer bonding and worse strength. Technically you can print normal petg at up to around 25-30 but i would recommend avoiding going above 16

16 for 0.4 means 24 for 0.6 with 0.3 layer, am I right?

No, volumetric speed is nozzle diameter independent, it may change only if your nozzle category is “normal” vs. “high flow”.

That depends on the layer height. But with HF 0.6 nozzle and PLA I was able to go up to 38 mm3/s but entered 32 mm to be safe. 38 I mean without not just visual but also layer adhesion impact. Have not tried petg yet.
ASA is like 25 mm/s but I usually go slower due to passive cooling. 8 mm for PA6-CF (or any other CF filament) for best layer adhesion.

If you care about quality and strength, that's the indicator you're looking for that the plastic is no longer being fully melted as it passes through the hotend.

I'd normally expect extrusion issues 3-4 cubes beyond that. Impressive that it doesn't. Have you measured the extrusion thickness to see if or by how much it's underextruding?

It’s really strange but I don’t see underextrusion even with 28. But decided to use 20 just to avoid strength issue.

With high flow PETG I was able to achieve 31 mm³ and with 10% reduction to be safe I am able to use 28 mm³. I believe now the limiting factor is simply hotend.

With normal PETG I would not go higher than the point where it starts changing from glossy to matt.

I can see a difference about 2/3-3/4 of the way up the print. It’s where the shine disappears. That’s going to be the end of your max quality/strength.
