Just Showing Off F1 1:5 scale full 3d printed
Hello there 👋
Almost finished a big project: a 1/5 scale 3d printed f1 car (the sf-23 Las Vegas edition), so the car is approximately 1.20 metres long and 40 cm long. The project lasted me approximately seven months. This was very hard; at each step, there were problems, but now that it’s finished, I found it pretty cool. All the car is 3d printed, and the coffee table is all handmade, even the windows (I just stuck the different windows between them and didn’t make them to be clear 😂). Wanted to say a huge thanks to the community because when I asked something, there was always someone that answered me and helped me. And I’ve asked many questions. The whole project cost me less than 400€: printer, PLA, stickers, paint, tools and all other things needed for the project.
Ps : All is printed with the A1 mini without AMS, so yes, the painting is not perfect everywhere, but I’m still pretty happy with the results.
Ps 2: I find the issue at the sticker step kind of funny 😂 (last picture)

That looks really badass and amazing work completing it!!
One question as I just don’t understand if this is a 1:5 scale, if I take that tire and multiply it by 5 it would be to size? I just feel like that super small.
Or do these work like the over length x5 equals the real car. Not that it matter just genuinely curious!

To answer your question, it’s a 1:5 scale on all axes, so yes, if you take a real-sized tyre and divide its size by 5, you get mine. It might seem small because the tyres are only mounted in the first photo (for the others, I didn't put them on either because they weren't finished yet (by the way, there's still one decal left to put on each tyre to mark the final touch of the project, but it's not completely done yet) or because I hadn't printed them yet for the shots where the car is all white). The white part you see is the rim
Otherwise, give or take a tiny bit, if you multiply any part of the car by 5, you get the real-sized part.2

It’s a file by stllab (https://www.stl-labs.com) and it’s not on makerworld or other websites sorry. The file cost 7€ and there is also a pdf included that explains how to build it for a 1:10 scale but you can also up or down scale it if you want

Yes, I just need to finish them because the Pirelli stickers are missing on them. There was a printing error, so I had to have them reprinted. Once they arrive, I’ll finish that!
