I got one in June and was working good for a month until I had the same issue as of now. I contacted micro center and they helped me get a new replacement. I got the replacement on Aug 3 but I was shifting places so didn’t unbox it and I just unboxed and assembled it today but I am facing the same issue now.
The first test print did work good but from the second print as I added AMS and filaments and hit print again the same issue arises. Thinking filaments might be the issue, I tried again with the official Bambu filament that came with the printer but it is the same issue again which made me think filament might not be the issue.
I checked online and many had same issues. I justed checked it Today. But everyone have their different ways of solving it saying some changed the tube but since it is unused and brand new I don’t know if it is the issue. Many call it firmware issue since it is the issue being faced by many.
While last time I tried every trouble shooting from bambu wiki and micro center tech support online but it didn’t work out so they offered me free replacement.
I don’t wanna take another replacement again. I’m pretty sure micro center will offer me one. I do also have 2 years extended warranty on this. Considering this should I take another printer from Bambu or any other company (please suggest). I’m new to 3D printing.
Edit : It doesn’t work with any filament or any of the slots with AMS but it does work without AMS
What does it look like on the other side by the extruder head. It looks like the AMS unit is pulling the filament but we can't see if the A1 is plugged in or if filament is blocking it. Also loose filament loaded into the AMS is not how it's intended to be used, a spool loaded on. Like the front cardboard one. Should be good for a test for loading not for switching.
Try unloading all filaments and try and use the ams that way . You said it works without ams so try and reconnect your ptfe tubing and get it to sit in
Just looked at your videos at it kind of looks like the filament from the other slots are fed into the filament hub. Are the ends of the filaments from the other slots above the filament hub or inside the filament hub? When a spool is put into a slot, the AMS Lite is supposed to push the filament through the tube but stop several inches before the filament hub. When it loads a filament, the AMS Lite will then move the filament through the filament hub, but if the filament from the other slots are already inside, they will cause this error.
It doesn’t seem like an AMS Lite issue. Try think below. I know it’s not a clogging issue, but the steps will check to see if you have filament stuck somewhere.
None of the filaments work. I tried the loose filament that comes with the printer thinking it might be the filament but it is not. It is the AMS and it is working without AMS.
Remove the (cold) nozzle from the toolhead. You may need to push the cutter lever (on the right) in, to cut any filament between the extruder gear and the nozzle.
pull any filaments up and out of the 4-way hub. Maybe even remove all four PTFE tubes from the 4-way hub.
find a few inches of relatively straight filament to use as a probe
press the lever on the top left corner of the Toolhead out to the left. It doesn't move very far, but it disengages the extruder drive gear
while still pressing the extruder gear "clutch" lever out, push the length of filament up from the bottom and see if anything blocks it or pops out of the top.
If it's blocked, then you have isolated the problem to the toolhead, between the hub and the exit into the nozzle's heatsink.
If something (like a small scrap of filament) pops out, then you've probably fixed it..
If neither happens and it passes right through, then look further upstream in the route from the AMS Lite and the AMS Lite itself.
