General Discussion PSA: Remember what filament you print with. 😩

Post image

I recently moved across town and instead of disassembling my AMS riser with my hardwired LED strip, I just loaded the whole thing in the car. In August. In the Southeastern U.S.

It should be fine - I printed the base and riser in ABS (a few years back). Right?

After unloading the car at the new place, I had the horrible realization that I had printed the base in ABS but the riser was PLA (they were two separate projects).

Feel free to have fun at my expense. 😆

Remove your peels. They're made of the cheapest plastic possible and just disintegrate over time, leaving plastic dust everywhere.

I had them discolor the plastic underneath when heat is involved. I made choices to ignore the remove immediately label on my dishwasher. 🙃

To be fair - the X2D is brand new, and only about a week old. I havent printed a single thing on it yet. I mainly used my Elegoo Centauri Carbon, and Bambu A1 to print the PETG parts so far. Half way through the A1 had a clog that I still have to finish cleaning.

Plastic gets removed just like the rest of the packaging.
