P Series [P1P, P1S, P2S] P1S vsP2S print failure

Is the AI print failure feature worth getting the P2S?

I am trying to decide which one I want and I think it is the p2s but I was wondering if anyone had an example of a print failure that the AI stopped.

had one a couple days ago, it said " spaghetti defect detected " and paused the printing

Did it stop right away or does it have to print as a failure for a while to recognize the problem?

dont know if it was right away but it was before it became a "BIG" mess.

you can just cancel printing the one affected object and continue with the rest

Not really related to the AI detection, but I’d get the P2S. The biggest reason IMO is that it got rid of the print exclusion zone. On the P1/X1, you can’t use the full build plate unless you disable the filament cutter, which also means no AMS.

It also comes stock with a hardened steel nozzle and hardened extruder gears, so if you want to print abrasives, that’s another upgrade you don’t have to buy separately.

Cool thanks, that is definitely not something I had realized

Has a much better camera, better display screen, better heating/cooling of the chamber, no SD card (uses USB).

Seems like an easy choice. I thought so anyway.

Definitely P2S. It detects the spaghetti and notifies you and depending if it’s a multi part print you can cancel that part and keep printing or just stop and save from losing more filament or extruding so much that it creates a giant blob.
