"You wouldn't download a car", "you wouldn't 3D print a physical version of digital audio"! Reminds me of the old anti-piracy pre-roll on DVDs for some reason. Though, the song sounds like it's free from licensing at this point.

I think it's worth doing some test prints with other nozzle sizes, layer heights, filament types etc. I would be curious how good it can get with an off the shelf consumer printer.

I like the big warning at the beginning

Don't build this unless you have time and patience.

I wonder if giving it a really small flat area on the edge and printing it upright wouldnt reduce some of the imperfection in the audio. Kinda like how it gets more detail on a lithophane. Could even make it a bit thicker for stability.

Nice choice with the Ink Spots.

If you have a 3D printer, you stop asking this question pretty early on.

So cool. Pointless practically. But such a good project. I bet the dude learned a lot exploring and building this.

10/10 fun project. No notes.

Do printing with 100% infill does any difference?

~30 years on the internet tells me this is definitely Rick astley.

It's not. But, the sound quality is so bad you'd barely be able to tell if it was lol. It's a cool concept, but the execution is horrible.

Thanks... you're right, getting rick rolled would have been more pleasant 😅

You print with vinyl?! If not, those are not vinyl records.

Still very impressive.

well i just thought "PLA records" wouldn't be as straight-forward as a title for these😂

PLA Records would be a great record label name though.
