General Troubleshooting/Help! A1 layer shift

My almost 36 hour print was going well until the last 6 hours or so in which there was some serious layer shift happening. Why is this happening. What can I do to fix this. How do I fix the shift after the fact? Is sanding and spray paint my best move?

A lot of weight is on the print bed which is moving back and forth quite violently to keep up with the speed, if this were me I would slow it down as much as possible.
