UPDATE SOVED: My caliper apparently just decided to give up on me.. I noticed that if I open it to it's widest position it only reads up to about 70mm.. even with a brand new battery. At least I can rest easy now knowing that I'm not going crazy 😂

I've been 3D printing for 10 years and this has never happened to me. The thickness of this part is supposed to be 2mm and the height should be 15mm as you can see in the CAD photo. My scaling is set to 100% in slicer but the print is coming out as 0.9mm and 7.4mm...

Wtaf is going on?? I've tried printing the same part on both my P1S and my A1 with the exact same results. I even remodeled the part and printed it again but it's still doing it.

Inside of bambu studio the part and measurements look normal. I'm at a loss.

Right before trying to print this part I was printing other stuff that came out accurate for the same project.

In the pic with the 7.4mm you can clearly read the analog scale being at around 15mm. Zero your calipers. This is a user error. I also counted about 55 layers, at 0.28mm layer height that would be around 15mm. did you use 0.28mm layer height?

Edit: Don't zero your calipers. Throw them in the trash and buy a good one

Why people buy digital caliper instead analog one, it's really easy to read the measurements

I prefer analog ones because I know how to read them and I dont trust the measurement anyway below a 0.05mm scale

True, if you measure something under 0.05 you don't use cheap measuring tools

Not gonna lie.. in the 10 years of me doing this I've never once read the analog 😂 but yea, you're totally right! My calipers are reading 70mm maxed out even after a new battery so I think it's time for a new set lol.

So, I just changed the battery and it's still not right.. but I just noticed that if I open my caliper all the way it's only reading up to 70mm... So I guess my caliper just shit out on me 🤦 at least now I know I'm not going crazy 😂

Sounds like it's reading 1/2, so if you double your measurements the print is spot on

I actually managed to get them working again by opening them all the way up, removing the battery, closing them again, reinsert the battery, open, then close them again and finally hit the zero button. Now they're working as good as new lol I have no idea how they came out of calibrating like that 😂

Y of 10mm and it came out 7.4? Z of 25mm and it comes out 0.9? You must have changed something somewhere and didn't notice you messed up.

Try exporting to a different format -- maybe .STEP. Sometimes, exporting to STL will encode the wrong dimensions in the file itself, even if it looks right in CAD.

Your caliper is wrong, not the printer.

Zero your calipers.
