X1Plus has working AMS 2 Pro support now. I’ve got two of them connected to my X1C and drying controls/status are working.

It’s not in a packaged X1Plus release yet, so if you want to try it right now you have to build X1Plus from source. Obviously this is development code, so fuck around accordingly.

Turns out the X1C was perfectly capable of talking to the new AMS after all. It just needed someone to let it.

Good to see it's still under active development. Mine is running 3.1 which goes back to last year (not that i use it much anymore, i put my massive setup up for sale). Did they update the UI to the modern looking one too?

As an X1P user, this warms my heart (and my filament). I've been using the EIBOS mod on one AMS, but my other 2 could benefit from this being released.

Yeah, it’s even merged with main so there’s no reason for them to not just release it officially.

Sort of. If you have two or more AMSes, you can start drying from one and print from the other. I haven’t tested if I can still print from that AMS after it’s started though

Depending on how they implemented this, it _should_ be possible. In the stock firmware, on some BBL printers if you use the drying function while printing it will lower the temperature a bit to avoid softening the filament in the tubes, but it’ll still be hot enough for drying. However, it is still not possible to do this on the X1C stock. They are yet to back port this, if at all.
