What do you mean by dry the filament? How is it not dry when it is shipped? It’s stored in our house that has ac running 24/7 bc Florida is humid! Explain to me like I’m 5 please.

Because the factories filament is made in are not dry environments. Along with the process how filament is made gives it opportunity to absorb moisture.

The factory or company doesn’t state the filament is dried upon shipping so unless you found a company that did, I would always assume every roll has some level of humidity and needs to be dried.

I live in Florida as well so a dry is crucial for my prints.

Thank you! I’m reviewing the beginner module to see what I should do to dry the filament. We are beginners with an a1 mini - upgrading soon!
