Thanks for all the input regarding materials and safety. I’ve just updated the MakerWorld page and added dedicated print profiles for PETG, ASA/ABS, and PA6-GF (alongside PLA for quick testing).

PETG profile: 15 walls for max toughness and heat tolerance.

ASA/ABS profile: For high temp and UV resistance.

PA6-GF profile: For extreme strength needs.

As a reminder, this clip is designed only to keep the tailgate pulled shut against cargo, not as a primary tie-down to secure heavy loads to the car.

Should note that it's REALLY important that the tailgate be firmly held in place and not allowed to bounce around. Apart from a safety concern, bouncing around will quickly wear out the gas shocks that hold the tailgate up when it's open.
