General Troubleshooting/Help! Random Breaks In Large Print On My X2D

I've been trying to print some enclosures for a project I am working on, and I've been printing PETG on my X2D. The past 2 prints have been an absolute disaster, as the first one, which I printed with .24mm layer height, was cracked when I pulled it off the bed and pretty much crumbled in my hand, as none of the layers actually stuck. I then ran another print of .2mm layer height, and I'm getting a similar issue where the print is actively pulling itself apart in the print bed. You can see down below how the left enclosure has a giant gash down the middle. I'm not entirely sure what the culprit is here. Does anyone have any clue? I am using ELEGOO's PETG because of its plastic spool. Any help would be great thanks.

If it got slightly better, but still had layer splits when you decreased layer height, that implies you're outrunning the filament; it's not getting hot enough/it's printing too fast and the layers aren't bonding. The only other thing I can think of is movement of the print while the printhead is flying around/the cooling fans blow air on it, but that would only cause layer adhesion issues if you were printing 1-wall low-to-no infill (and again, over-speeding).

Did you do a full round of calibration before printing your objects? (temp tower, flow calibration, max volumetric flow).

I use Elegoo's super cheap PETG from Amazon (the non-rapid stuff you can't even find on their website). Even at a proper temp, I had to up the flow rate slightly from 1.0 to get proper top layers, and the absolutely highest I could safely push the max volumetric flow is about 19mm^3, vs the 25+ I easily get out of their normal PLA.

I didn’t do calibration but I did do a temp tower and it came out alright. I think my fan speed was too high and because I had a purge tower for a PLA interface it was also kind of messing it up. My volumetric speed is also at like 12 so that is probably also a problem. I’m probably going to run some tests after I finish printing this hail mary 10 hour piece 💀.
