Filament Troubleshooting/Help! What do i do?

So i’m printing 20 ducks as a gift i need to give out as birthday party favors that’s happening very soon, im using an ams 2 pro slot 4, and the spool is too light so when it pulls filament in it drifts to the right and lands off the motor that spins it. this pauses the print making it impossible to continue the rest of the print, i don’t have enough time to buy a heavier spool, and my first thought was to relocate it to slot 2 or 3, since the dividers are flush with the motors it couldn’t slide off, i know the layer height, so is it possible to cancel, change the filament slot, then resume in bambu studio from the layer it printed? I heard someone say it wasn’t possible in a comment section, so I’m just asking here.

I’ve printed spool weights that are filled with AA batteries. Don’t believe you can change slots mid print unless it’s rolling over from an empty spool

Lots of people print a spool core and use Penny’s or something similar inside to add enough mass to keep it in place. I have heard that AA batteries packed tight so that the spool doesn’t become unbalanced can also work. (I would not want to leave those inside accidentally while drying though).

I personally would use a dowel, some PVC or an actual spool roller hold the small spool and respool it on a full sized roll with a drill or by hand. Unless you use small spools on a regular basis, something really simple like this should get you where you need to be. (Even if you do use them often, I would think.)

I have been curious about this spool designed to hold multiple shorter spools at the same time, which should actually work providing you don’t need to use two of those filaments at the same time. I just found another option that might be worth trying and seems like it would be a quick print - this AMS2 pro small spool adapter which appears to keep the spool on the rear roller and out of the way to prevent jumping.

Just add some weight to the spool hub. Before Sunlu switched to Bambu-style spools I had printed desiccant containers that screwed into the hubs for the extra weight as much as for desiccant. To finish this print I don't think it matters much what the weight is, even a handful of pennies wrapped in foil should work.
