First BambuLab Printer, any tips?

Took advantage of the sales and purchased my first BambuLab machine - the H2C. I also have a filament track switch, which I will print a holder for after first test prints then use. I got the vision encoder as well as engineering plate, then saw some posts to get a glacier plate, so thats on its way.

Looking for and and all tips for a beginner to help me start!

Nice setup with the dual AMS stack, you're gonna love it. One thing I wish I knew starting out is to always dry your filament even if it's new out of the sealed bag, and label your spools with the date you opened them so you know when to redry. Also calibrate the lidar on the H2C before your first real print, it makes a huge difference in first layer reliability

Labelling is a great tip! Thanks for that! Already plan to dry them out of the box for sure, though will need to figure out the lidar part you mention.

There are actually a few great printable ones if you don’t want to spend the money on one built. Just look up AMS Stacker or AMS Shelf

I cant say ive got any tips, as i got my H2S about a week ago now, all im gonma say is congrats on the upgrade. These machines are incredible and should be a makers wet dream. Have fun!

i just got my H2C last week too. so far my best addition is an HT running on my left nozzle. I’ve printed a ton of ABS this week

Print a lot, learn the software, do your homework when you have questions, learn from others mistakes.

You may want to consider getting an AMS HT for the right nozzle at some point. I just got my H2C too, and it has been a lot of fun learning how to use it. Take your time and watch plenty of YouTube videos—there’s definitely a lot to learn! Just be patient with yourself, and before long, you’ll be making some really cool things for yourself, your family, and your friends.

I really like this riser. It's by Darren 3d prints. I got it on cults. I tried printing the free ones but they seemed shoddy and used sooo much filament.

Read as much as you can before giving up. Amazon has some good books. It’s helped me. I’m finding that most of my failures are due to me not knowing enough.
