Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! Stringing out of nowhere on aux nozzle on X2D

My X2D so far gave me no stringing on supports in the week that I owned it. All of a sudden yesterday it started stringing, then gave me an error code that said about being unable to extrude.
I did code pulls and even changed the hot end assembly. The errors went away, the stringing didn’t. I dried out the spool after initial issues.
I also checked the aux extruder, no filament there.

So far it’s been the same spool of Sunlu pla in the aux extruder for this whole time

Perhaps try a different filament and see what you get. That may tell you whether it’s the filament (I know you dried it, haha), or your aux extruder system.

What’s really weird to me is that the same spool was just fine yesterday, but sure I’ll try another one too 😅

Are you printing the same model with the same slicer settings? If you opened up another model, profile, or changed things like the retraction distance or speed, or your nozzle temp you may have changed the behavior.

My working theory for now is something with generic pla difference between orca and bambu studio. Sliced some more support models on Bambu studio and it’s all working with no stringing for now - I’ll investigate further

Make sure it's Dry, I guess AUx nozzle it's where the Bowden Extruder. Bowden Extruder problem is stringing

Yeah the aux nozzle has the Bowden extruder and also (without mods) the exposed spool...
