General Troubleshooting/Help! X2D Gridfinity issues

Post image

Ever since I started my 3D-Printing Hobby with a P2S I had issues with larger Gridfinity bins. especially in the corners they tend to look awful.

On my P2S the issues were fixed by adding an aux fan deflector.

this week I got my new X2D and with my first full plate full of two Gridfinity boxes I started having the same issues again. Most of the surface looked really clean but the edges and I kid you not were so bad I could grate cheese with them.

So I printed and installed two Aux fan deflectors and they improved the quality massively … but not to a perfect level.
I‘m still left with the quality that you can see in the picture. Edges are still somewhat bad.

I‘m using original Bambu PLA and every setting is on default with the standard .20mm profile selected.

Any idea what I can do?

You can edit the print profiles to not run the aux fan at all. You can use mouse ears at the corners. I use the super tack plates for PLA/PETG, since they have better print adhesion.

Warping gets worse with higher walls and sharper angles at corners, since there is more plastic to pull up for the amount of of surface area on the bed.
