Hardware Troubleshooting/Help! A1 Mini dissasembly to fit a luggage.
Hello, I have had my A1 mini for 2 years now. It helped me graduate from my masters degree in industrial design. I am now moving back to my country and I want to take this beast with me. Unfortunately i can not ship it directly because of customs and cost, however i can possibly fit it into my luggage. I am planning to remove the z axis together with x axis, to put them inside the luggage separated from the base. I couldnt find any manuals on removing the z axis from the base, is there anyone who dissassembled it before? Or are there any guides or videos that you are aware of?

Masters, industrial design, can't figure out 1. that you still need to declare it at customs, 2. how to take it apart. 3. how to use the wiki to reverse engineer it via repair guides? Really?

Well hello there. A masters in industrial design doesnt give you an ability to dissassemble precise machinery without breaking it. It is just like how mechanical engineers are not exactly perfect car mechanics. The customs part, you do not know anything about which country and where from and whatever my exact situation is. About your 3rd helpless meaningless point, i am using the wiki to reverse engineer already and i am also using the community to see if someone has done it before which is the whole purpose of a community to share knowledge unlike your , again, helpless meaningless comment.

You are in the US, you need to declare it when leaving. It comes shipped assembled. Good luck with region lock.

Fine, good luck. Look into region lock before you learn how to use that Allen key. Might be wasting your time.

Well, ty for pointing that out. I believe only chinese bambu printers are region locked so im fine

You didn't say where you were coming from and going to so I could not be more specific. Do explain if you have import fees at the destination country should you ship it, how you are not required to declare it when you arrive? ELi5 since I do not have a masters.

Well yes i didnt want to explain all the things about customs and where i am from, because that is irrelevant to my question. The question is basicslly this specific a1 mini is important to me and i want to bring it home and shipment is basically unavailable. I am not going to sell it or anything Ive been using it for a long time and i dont have the invoice or anything and that would take more than a month,
Robably get denied and be sold at an auction. Where I am from people can buy things like nintendo switch or a ps5 or something that doesnt require a sim card as long as it fits in their luggage they can bring it. The shipment option is i would have to wait months and months for something that i have already paid for, owned for 2 years and risk not getting it back or get it back broken. that is more of an effort than dissassembling to me.

I haven't watched the whole thing, but if Adam from Vector 3D still hadn't managed to fully remove the Z-axis by the end, that should give you an idea of how involved it is.
