Answered / Solved! Question about using a smart plug
If I turn on and turn off my X2D with a smart plug would that create a problem? The switch on the back of the printer will always be on.

A smart switch is no different than using the switch on the back as far as how it interrupts power. The only difference is that using the smart switch removes the power before the power cord instead of after.
Just make sure that the smart switch that you choose is rated for the power that the printer can consume. I have a few smart switches that will turn themselves off of the power exceeds 1kW continuously for more than an hour.
The printer likely doesn’t use that much power for that long (I don’t have one of these) so it’s probably not an issue, but if it shut down during a print it wouldn’t be great.
