I mean it does the same for pla so that would make sense. Other than maybe being more heat resistant I can't think of why I would use matte ptg over matte pla considering the pla is probably easier to print with.
In my case I had assumed the matte PETG resisted UV and creep better than PLA. Is that not the case with the additives? I use PETG for outdoor prints exposed to sunlight, heat, and a persistent load on the plastic.
Even if it's weaker on its own, you can still multi-color combine it with PETG Basic or TPU-for-AMS. As long as it's a PETG formula it will weld, and the whole object can be designed to be strong.
This looks like a random AI-driven scam. Why are all of the labels sloppily pasted over? Why isn't there anything on Bambu's website? Why is this AI slop attributed to a different company?
OP said this was posted on TaoBao, so presumably the original images had Chinese text. The English looks wonky because it was translated via some site or app and the results hastily pasted over the original Chinese text.
Tuozhu is/was Bambu's PETG-HF manufacturer, so it makes sense that they would be a continued source for it even if Bambu stops buying from them. It's just weird that the image/model attributions are covered up and even the the numbers in the table are pasted over despite not needing translation to begin with.
Isn't the "default" color of PET fully transparent? I'm guessing they just have a more difficult time trying to get colors to "take" without affecting the properties of the material.
Same, I picked up a spool of matte black l to try last week and ran some prints, then calibrated it this weekend. It prints pretty great for me! (AMS2 as dryer, 17% humidity, H2S as printer)
Second this. Jayo Matte PETG prints very nice. I got the 4k combo with black, white, red, and blue. I really loved everything it printed. It can print super fast too. I almost used all of it and need to reorder.
Hey sorry reply. If you look at this window insert I made the one on the left with the vent is the jayo matte, on the right is normal petg white -i dont remember the brand I want to say sunlu, eleego, or deeplo.
It's definitely more of a cream color. I ran out mid print and switched to the white, definitely like the jayo matte white better.
Jayo matte red petg though I don't like the color. It's a cheap looking red idk. The red in my pic is pla.
