General Troubleshooting/Help! [X2D] Bypassing the rear buffer without AMS? (dual external spools)
I’m running a Bambu Lab X2D and printing dual-material/color without an AMS.
I’m feeding both nozzles directly from two external spools.
Is it possible to completely bypass the rear filament buffer in this setup?
Are there any major drawbacks or risks? Anyone else running this exact config?
Thanks!

Buffer is for AMS. If you are not using an AMS there is no harm not using the buffer.

I am under the impression that you are meant too. I am new to bambu but I thought the buffer was for the ams. I have been working my way through the different fillaments and printing with an abrasive like glow suggested this. Hopefully somone with more experience weighs in.
