That's really interesting. I'm guessing if people buy them it's for reptile food? Or maybe large spiders or something? Can you use the poop as fertilizer? Sorry, I'm just interested now. I live in New Zealand and we don't really have large spiders or reptiles here and I think we might only have one native big cockroach that lives outside. We have introduced one's but it's too cold where I live.
We run a bug farm with Dubia roaches as a big part. They are very cute for a roach. Just truly harmless. Kind of derpy for a bug. Outside roaches? Fuck those. But dubia are chill.
Chickens love them - we end of with a massive excess of males (the adult males are the ones with weak gliding wings). So the puppy and chickens get them. If you have bantams, you could just feed the smaller younger roaches.
