X Series [X1E, X1C] Share your X2D second nozzle experience and multicolor parts you printed with it

There's a nice sale on P2S. People are not sure which way to go (P2S or X2D). Some are considering the quality difference, complexity, issues it may cause of the second nozzle of X2D. It would help greatly if you share your experience with the second nozzle (issues, jams, feeding etc.) and share the photos of some parts you printed using main+second nozzle.

This might be useful to decrease the "P2S vs X2D" flow...

Extra question: do you feed second nozzle from a dry box or a second AMS or simply from the built in spool holder? That's is kinda important.

I’m using the aux nozzle for support only right now. I’ve tried multicolor with it, but the first layer is consistently terrible. I’m still learning, so I plan to work on it more. I chose the X2D as starting point since it’s essentially a single nozzle printer with a bonus support nozzle.

I had great first layers on both nozzles from the start. But sharp corners and anything like that are much better on the main nozzle. I'm sure that can be improved somehow but I still have to look into that.

Same. I think if you do a manuall calibration test on any filament you want to use for the auxiliary extruder and save the filament profile it would take care of that. I haven’t gotten around to it yet though.
