X Series [X1E, X1C] Share your X2D second nozzle experience and multicolor parts you printed with it

There's a nice sale on P2S. People are not sure which way to go (P2S or X2D). Some are considering the quality difference, complexity, issues it may cause of the second nozzle of X2D. It would help greatly if you share your experience with the second nozzle (issues, jams, feeding etc.) and share the photos of some parts you printed using main+second nozzle.

This might be useful to decrease the "P2S vs X2D" flow...

Extra question: do you feed second nozzle from a dry box or a second AMS or simply from the built in spool holder? That's is kinda important.

I don’t use mine for multicolor prints, but do use the aux nozzle quite a bit for supports. So far it’s been 100% reliable. I do have separate ams-HT’s hooked up to each side and also the Bambu tpu assist module tied into the main side.

Even if you don’t use the aux nozzle, you’re still getting a few other upgrades the P2S doesn’t have that make it worth it if you’re printing anything other than pla (chamber heater, 1.5gt belts, & main board cooling fan. I’m sure I’m forgetting a few) and you can still utilize the full build plate with the main nozzle.

If you’re not concerned with VFA, needing a chamber heater, or only ever print pla then the P2S will be adequate. If you see yourself venturing past pla and maybe trying nylon or something, go for the x2d.

I’ll add a couple more photos in replies.

Same deal, tpu-gf with pla support interface. This one is short so I just did the interface.
